Welcome to the homepage for the Anderson County Beekeepers Association, located in Clinton, Tennessee
In mid April 2016, American foulbrood was discovered and confirmed in a hive in the Raccoon Valley area near the Anderson/Knox County line. If you keep bees within a 5-mile radius, it is important that you remain vigilant for signs of a spotty brood pattern; concave, punctured capped brood cells; discolored larvae; dried, shrunken brood stuck tightly on the bottom of cells; and an unpleasant odor. It is also recommended that you schedule an inspection of your hives with a certified state inspector.
If you have any questions or wish to schedule an inspection, please call Don at 865-806-0484.
We meet every third Monday of the Month at 7pm (except July, December, and January) in the Clinton Community Center in downtown Clinton, TN. If you are in the Clinton, Oak Ridge area, or any surrounding area, come by to learn about beekeeping, honey bees, apiculture, etc.
